Pain affects millions of people worldwide with significant implications on quality of life and medical resources.

Pain is generally treated conservatively by Doctors, with medication and/or physical therapies using mobilisation and manipulation, but we are seeing increasing numbers of people living with chronic pain conditions, such as Fibromyalgia and arthritis, which are traditionally managed by strong perscription pain killers and other medication.

I have been lucky enough to study directly with a neuro-scientist, so the good news is, as we learn more about how pain is received, and understand the process, we can take steps to reverse the effects of these conditions.

Pain is not a simple sensory experience; it can occur even in the absence of tissue damage. It involves emotional, social and cognitive experience.  Pain is very individual and is defined by whatever the person experiencing it says they are feeling.

Ongoing, chronic pain can affect the immune system, sleep and behavioral patterns, and is often seen alongside depression.

I offer a very specific type of  Neuro-reflexology, (alongside Traditional Reflexology) which incorporates unique techniques applied  for pain management, this can vary from a simple  foot hold to the more advanced system of nerve reflex points in the feet.

For Chronic conditions I recommend a course of treatments,

Neuro reflexology works to slowly reset and reduce sensitivity within the nervous system to decrease pain messages.

If you would like help with any pain related issues, please  give me a call  or email to discuss.
